This Privacy Policy explains how PitchCut (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PitchCut service available at pitchcut.video (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the Service:

(a) User-Provided Content. When you use the Service, you upload images (such as screenshots of an application) and provide a text description. This content is submitted by you for the sole purpose of generating a video output and is referred to in this Policy as “User Content.”

(b) Usage Information. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including actions taken within the application (such as clicks, generation requests, and errors), the date and time of activity, and high-level information about your browser and device type. We do not collect or store your IP address in association with this information.

(c) Local Storage and Cookies. The Service places a small data file in your browser to enforce limits on free use of the Service. This file contains only a numeric count and timestamp and does not contain personally identifying information.

We do not collect: name, email address, telephone number, postal address, payment information, government identifiers, or any other directly identifying personal information. The Service does not require account creation.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating video output from your User Content.
  • Enforce usage limits described in our Terms of Service.
  • Measure aggregate usage patterns to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only with the categories of recipients described below:

(a) Service Providers. We use third-party vendors to operate the Service. These include providers of artificial-intelligence content generation, cloud hosting and rendering, content delivery, and aggregate usage analytics. These providers process User Content and Usage Information solely to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to handle the information in accordance with applicable law.

(b) Legal Compliance. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

(c) Business Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information held by us may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

4. Data Retention

User Content (uploaded images and descriptions) is retained only for the time required to generate the requested video output, after which it is deleted from our systems. The generated video file is delivered to your browser and is not retained by us.

Usage Information may be retained in aggregate, non-identifying form for product analytics purposes. The browser data file used for usage limits expires automatically and may be deleted at any time by clearing your browser’s cookies and site data.

5. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Because the Service does not require an account and does not retain User Content after rendering, we typically do not have personal information associated with you to act upon. To exercise any rights or for more information, contact us at the address below.

You can disable usage analytics at any time using browser controls or third-party tracker-blocking tools. You can clear the usage-limit data file by clearing your browser’s cookies and site data for pitchcut.video.
